As she caught the bait and sunk in all the splender Aaron seemed to hold, he couldn't help smiling and nodded to himself. The words in French that he had spoken, seemed to impress the young girl and had the effect he'd intended.
This time she allowed him to kiss her hand without feeling any discomfort. Aaron on the other hand, again felt the pulse of her veins underneath her skin as he touched her.
"Please do!" he said and smiled at her again, flashing a glance around the room at the people leaving. Some of them were stumbling out the door, one of them being Ethan, the man who fancied Emmaline. Aaron looked at him for a second as the man leaned against a wall, and silently wished that he wouldn't be a nuiscance.
"A gentleman stays true to his word," Aaron said and bowed slightly to her, with a nod of his head.

In the same moment as he was to turn and take his leave, she commented on his full plate. Aaron froze for a second and then narrowed his eyes, slowly turning around. As he looked upon her face, his own was a smooth and calm composure though. "I fear I have neglected other things that require my attention," he said and smiled apologetically. "I am sure the food is delicious." he added and pointed to the plate. "When shall I..." Aaron paused and shot a glance at the drunk Ethan who was now making his way towards him. "Free you, from your duties." he said, but before she could reply, Ethan had interrupted.

"Yes! Tell the lady why her food isn't satisfying to a Lord. Is it too filthy in a place like this? Is that it?" Ethan said and pushed him drunkely.
Aaron stood where he was though, and grabbed his wrist in a single fluent motion. "Please," he said and looked at Emma for a second. "Before you embarrass yourself."
