Emmaline looked to Aaron for a moment, her mind instantly flashing to deny his offer. She had already taken up more of his time than she had at first anticipated. From what Emma could tell, Aaron was a true gentleman. It was unlikely that he would simply leave her alone to her own devices, it was the noble things to offer himself as an escort. Her eyes trickled up towards the moon, realizing for the first time that it would be full in only two nights. She always loved the full moon, finding something magical about its hidden secrets that only creatures of the night could uncover. And with this month as the spring weather rolled in, there would be a large festival to last three days on the docs and spread about the magnificent city of London. It was a time of great joy for everyone, so much so that even Tabitha closed shop to go out and enjoy the festival for those three days. Everyone participated in the festival, whether they enjoyed the activities or not. It was a time to relax and come together as young couples strolled down the romantic lit parks. Emma smiled to this thought, curious if Aaron, the apparent traveler, was aware of the life that would soon be coming to the city.

Her mind went back to the article that Mr. Owens had shown her in the tavern as she considered Aaron's offer more deeply. Girls about her age were beginning to disappear during the midnight hours. Perhaps it would be best to accept Aaron's offer. With him as her escort, Emma could return home without fearing every unidentifiable sound that clattered about the empty streets. But still, she did not want to inconvenience the man more than she already had.

"You said that you had some matters to attend," she reminded him softly, recalling his excuse for abandoning his untouched meal. "I fear I may have already made you late for them. I would hate to inconvenience you more than I already have." She smiled, although she offered for him to escape her presence, she took his gesture of the street and began to walk towards her dorm slowly, waiting to see if he would choose to follow or depart. "The night is beautiful, not a cloud in the sky, wouldn't you say so Aaron?" she asked simply, her eyes glancing over to him. "The night has always fascinated me, more-so than I should care to admit. What about you? Are you a night owl or a morning dove?" she asked innocently, turning her attention towards him.
