Gale didn't move away as Sonny sat down next to him, not confident enough to consider shifting closer. He nodded silently, not entirely sure what to say, and pretty sure he wouldn't be able to verbalize what he felt. In a spark of thought, he plucked his own phone from his bed, scrolling through the messages. He paused on one from his father, before tilting it so Sonny could see the sentences rambling about how it wasn't Gale's fault he was sick with such a 'disgusting disease', and how even if Gale's mother didn't agree he wouldn't stop until he found a so-called cure.
Still though, he made a mental note to get him to meet his mom at some point; she had helped him so much in the fallout of him coming out to his family.
