Zane walked into an open field where there were more guards and a man dressed in fine robes, who he guessed was the king Zane bowed "My lord." he said. "You may rise rider." the king said. Zane was very surprised, he sent a worried look towards Alec. "My lord, if I may ask. Why have you called us here?" Zane asked still worried, he suspected the worst, he always did. "You are to be Dragon Riders and you are here to pick your dragons." the king said. Zane fell to his knees, the biggest honor in all of Matrydom was to become a Dragon Rider. "Did you say... Dragon Rider's?" Zane questioned. Zane knew the king wasn't kidding when a white dragon flew over head and circled over a couple times examining the large group of people. Zane saw a black and green dragon egg being brought out of a nearby building. Zane looked at the egg and suddenly he felt as if an arrow had pierced his head, then he heard a voice.

You, I am the egg, tell me where I am Thorn commanded, he skimmed through the humans memory's while in his head and found his name Zane please choose me I have been trapped in this egg for ten years, I am Thorn. he said more gently to try and persuade the human to release him.
