The guards seemed slightly frightened now. She didn't blame them in the slightest. But now she was getting ticked off... a lot. She marched over to one of the guards next to the king, very angry now. She liked answers, and she liked getting them fast.
She glared at the guard. "Tell me why I'm here now."
Her voice was cold, but still civil.
The guardsman gulped. "I cannot tell you."
That did it. Melisande exploded. She pulled him by his shirt collar and whispered so not many others could hear her. "I am Lady Melisande; great-niece of the king. I outrank you. NOW TELL ME WHY I'M HERE!!!" The last sentence she shouted.
