Ana wasn’t too far behind the very friendly, and very cozy pair. She wanted to stare diggers at Frank’s back, wanted to mumble hateful and cruel words at him, but she did none of that. Instead, Ana grabbed her purse and the rest of her belongings, and silently made her way off the boat.

Get to your room, Ana, that’s all you have to do.
She kept her eye open for Iris, smiled politely at Isabelle when she brushed past them, and made sure to make no eye contact with Frank.

You just get cozy and friendly with Isabelle, I’ll just stay as far away from you as I possibly can.
Her hand tightened on her load while the other reached to scoop the hem of her long summer strapless dress from dragging along the sand. “Maybe thi-“ but she was cut off by the figure she had bumped into.

“Ohmygosh, I’m so sorry. I’m so, so sorry!” Ana moved a step back, glancing up into the very familiar face of Iris’s ex Ezra. “Oh…” She softly spoke before glancing from one boy to the next, and the girls with them. “Hey Ezra, listen, I’m so sorry, I was in my own mind, and I wasn’t paying attention to where I was going.” She was genuinely apologetic, even if her words were hurried.
She was trying to get as far away from Carmine Frank are humanly possible without having to actually leave the island.
She didn’t hate him, goodness no. She couldn’t hate anyone. And she had tried VERY hard to hate Frank. It just wasn’t in her.
But she could avoid. M’hm. She could and she would avoid him like he was the plague and she was a five year old back in the Renaissance era.

So with her apology rushed, Ana waited for no response, and moved skillfully through the crowd, her eyes trained on the entrance to what she hoped was the hotel lobby.
