Darvo watched Kai silently, knowing almost exactly what she thought. He looked at his palm and then at Artemisha, wanting to run away and hide. He couldn't. He needed to stay around the pack or go to Aethes to find out plans. He didn't want to but he didn't seem to have a choice. He'd been hiding himself for so long, scared it would show one day and now.. He seemed to have no choice but to show his true self. The self he had been hiding for years. He was scared he would be a monster, a beast not able to control himself. Why had he been hiding himself anyway? Was he scared of hisself? Maybe he was, he didn't know it exactly either. How can I be so stupid? Damn it, now its letting me have no choice, he thought, watching Kai walk pass him. He sighed, then concentrated back at Artemisha.
