Snippet #1893

The man walked confidently down the street. Long, proud strides as he looked all around the new place he had. A place he could call his own. Then relieve it of its inhabitance. Batman would never think of finding him in New York. He had some time before the Dark Knight appeared then ruined everything. Time to plan ahead. The looks he was getting from everyone wasn't the usual. He just got people recognising him then talking excitedly.
"Nice costume!" What? This was a carefully chosen outfit. How dare he! But then he stopped. Across the street was a small shop, its window was covered in stickers but it was the full size Batman cut out on the door that made him cross quickly. Walking angrily inside, he looked around the small, currently quiet comic store. A man in a huge beard and long braided hair looked up from his comic.
"Nice costume dude."
"What?!" The man snapped.
"I said nice Joker costume."
"No, you bearded simpleton, I am Joker!"
"Yeah, and I'm wonder woman."
"I doubt you'd have the legs to carry that look off." A smirk appeared on Joker's face.
"Dude! Batman comics are over there..." He pointed to a corner of the store lined with bat symbols and a battering. Joker walked slowly towards the sanctum of his nemesis.
"Bats has a comic?! Maybe that's how he pays for his toys." Scanning the covers, he finds a famous comic with him on the cover; The Killing Joke. Picking it up, he begins to flick through the pages of one of his elaborate plans. Each he distinctly remembered, apart from the fact that the guy on the duck never mooded. He might still be there...And then he looked to another shelf.
"Video games too? Where's my endorsement deal?" He began to scan the box of Batman: Arkham Asylem. The funny thing was that this plan hadn't happened yet. He was funding Titan but he was soon to start the fire at Black Gate. In the Games manual, it documented most of his plan....how?
"Heh ha ha haaaa! What will they think of next?"
"Dude? Are you OK?"
"I'm not all that sure. Does Batman know he's got a comic book?"
"He's fictional. I dunno." Joker burst into laughter.
