“Well gentlemen, I think I have played enough cards for now.” Hagen said and rose from his seat. As he stood up he could finally feel the alcohol kicking in. Tired of not getting any further with his objective as well as his subordinate’s behavior he went outside to get some air.
Outside he saw two boys throwing small rocks at the chained demon. “Don’t you have anything else to do?” The two boys ignored the hooded man and kept throwing. Hagen walked towards them “Let’s try this again.” He pulled his rapier from underneath his cloak and held it towards the boys “Don’t you boys have anything else to do?” This time the boys stopped, put their hands in their pockets and walked away, as if this was a normal way of people reacting to kids pranks.
One day I am going to clean up in this city, with or without the orders of the Council. Hagen thought while he sheathed his sword. He looked at the frightened demon that didn’t know what the new person that had arrived would do to her. It was a very beautiful demon and must have been very expensive. I am going to change this corrupt world. He found a little piece of bread in his pocket and gave it to her. “Someday you’re going to be free my child.”
Hagen made a sign with his hand followed by him walking into a dark alley where he was alone. But he wasn’t alone for more than five seconds, when a hooded person suddenly jumped down from the roof above him. “Change in plans Reedo, I want you to keep an eye on Thomas’ new slave, I have a feeling that she is going to help me find what I’m looking for.” Reedo removed his hood “As you wish capt’n, but may I ask; why are you trying to find this legend?” Hagen looked into the eyes of the elf “You must have heard of what this god-like legend have achieved right? Together with him, we might be able to change this world once and for all.” Hagen stopped for a second before continuing “And I have some questions for him, about his powers as well.” Reedo seemed rather confused, was this really the officer he knew of? “If you see him, mark him. Understood?” Reedo nodded “Alright, dispatched.” Reedo then disappeared once again.
