((I don't know why I wrote so much. I guess I was just in the mood to do it. :))

Del grabbed her shorts, sunglasses, and fedora from the sand and shook them out. She quickly placed the shorts over her soaked bathing suit, not particularly caring that they were getting wet. She put her sunglasses on top of her head and decided to just carry her hat back. She quickly caught up with Chris and hooked an arm through his and looked over her shoulder to see if Ade was following. She saw Ade talking to Chad and paused for a moment as Ade quickly caught up to her. They stepped in the house and Del's eyes went wide as she saw the clock. "Jeez, I think we swam a li'l too long." Del chuckled and quickly unhooked her arm from Chris's before starting up the stairs.

She made it to her and Chris's room in a breeze and began to go through her stuff. She hadn't actually unpacked yet and she had no clue what she was going to wear, so the outfit deal was a bit messy, but after careful choosing, she produced a well thought-out outfit. She took off her wet bathing suit, placed it on the air vent for it to dry, and put on her outfit for the night. Much unlike Del would have normally done, she simply let her wet hair hang in it's natural way, deciding that it would dry eventually. She snatched her makeup bag and flew to the bathroom. Her makeup took her a bit more time seeing as she had gotten wet, so she had to redo her foundation, eye shadow, eyeliner, and mascara. On a normal day, Del would have spent much more time choosing her outfit, and doing her hair and makeup simply because she loved doing it, but she knew that if she spent as much time as she normally would have, they would never get to the show on time.

Del sighed as she looked her shorter stature up and down in the mirror. She couldn't help but chuckle as she thought of her mother's voice telling her, 'Some of the best dancers on this Earth have been shorter than you.' She looked over at Chris and furrowed her brow. "This looks okay, right?" she asked him as if trying to convince herself.
