Thomas ran his fingers through his hair as he made his way down the hall, his iPhone in hand, blaring music in his large headphones. He had no recollection of the Calculus homework due today, that he hadn't bothered to complete, so he was pretty carefree as he strolled past a red hair chick that was in his English class next period on her cellphone, when his music stopped, signaling someone had sent him a text message. Sliding his fingers across the screen, he saw that is was from number he didn't recognize. His pace slowed as he read through the text, his eyebrows now narrowed. When he was finished reading, he had come to a complete stop before rereading the text once more and looking around, everyone hurrying to class.

Then, from another number, he got a second text. Who the hell is this? Is this a prank? Thomas realized this was a group text. His slid his headphones down around his neck, and didn't bother to respond to the text as he shoved his phone in his pocket, his face expressionless. He had no idea who had just text him, and he wasn't aware if this was a legitimate threat or just a prank, yet he continued to act like it was no big deal as he walked through his English class's doorway, making his way to free seat towards the front of the class.
