Rafe smiled at Scarny as she ran off. He changed and waited patiently for her. When she came back however, she yipped playful at him and ran into the woods. He howled and chased after her. They ran in the night, the moon shinning down on them. The swift graceful moves they made seemed like they were dancing on the earth. Rafe admired Scarny's beauty, even in her wolf. Her eyes shone as bright as the moon, her white fur indicating how Innocent she was, while her black fur indicated her mischievous side. The scar on her body was a symbol of a warrior, yet to Rafe, it enhanced her beauty even more.

Rafe always thought to himself that he was the luckiest man alive to have her by his side, even luckier that she had chosen him out of any other wolf she could have. He knew he loved her the first time he laid eyes on Scarny, so everything just seemed like fate had planned it all. The thought of children came easier to his mind now, he couldn't think of anyone else he'd rather have bare his children.

The thought of Ryla being his child too excited him, as well as scared him. Children were so pure and innocent, not to mention tiny and frail. He had never held an infant in his arms. He held Ryla, but even she seemed too breakable to him. He knew he wasn't the most gentle man, but he was scared he would hurt them. As his mind raced through all the possibilities, he didn't notice the lake til last minute. He yelped as he tumbled into the water. When he surfaced, Scarny was on the bank, she looked worried. Rafe just howled in laughter to let her know he was fine.
