Amerelle walked out of the kitchen, carrying the loaded drink tray with ease as she approached the young families table. She balanced the tray steadily on one hand as she used the other to distribute the drinks. After handing them out, she took their meal orders.
"Great, thank you." she smiled charmingly and clicked her pen closed and slid her notebook back into her apron pouch. As she went to bring the order to the kitchen she saw someone else had just arrived, and it happened to be a boy that looked to be close to her age. That was a bit unusual, because normally this small diner only got older people or families, never smaller groups of young people, let alone by themselves. She went over to his table, putting on that forced smile of hers the second he turned to look at her.
"Good morning, how are you?" she asked as she took out her notepad and pen again. "My name is Amerelle and I'll be your server this morning, can I start you off with something to drink?" she looked at him, continuing to wear that strained smile as she held her notebook in place with her pen hovering above, prepared to write down the order.
