Stop. Emma ordered herself. No more sob story. You are not his problem anymore, so stop. Talking with Greyson had brought so many things to her attention, things she didn't want to think about. No more sob story though. No, she would smile and be polite from here on out. Emma didn't want a pitty party.

She had so many responses to what he said. The first thing that came to mind was 'yeah the situation i created'. 'I came back and screwed everything up even more for you'. No more of that though. She tried to think of why she had come. There had been a reason, and it sounded good at the time. Something about Colby having two parents. That wasn't it though. The real reason Emma had come back: Greyson.

She shrugged, "I just kind of thought you had a right to know, you know? He's your son too." She put a little extra emphasis on the 'he'. Why had Greyson referred to Colby as 'it'? Emma didn't want to make a big deal about it though, no more monologues for her.

The thoughts that had been destroying her before had calmed down a little. She wondered if her and Greyson could ever be friends again. It was pretty clear he wasn't interested in ever being anything more than friends again, but friends? That seemed like a battle for another day. Especially considering how poorly today had gone so far. All she had done so far was butcher the announcement, blame him for her mistakes, and throw a sob story out there for the world to hear. Stop it.

What should she ask next? There were plenty of boring catch-up questions left on the table, that would probably be a good place to start. "So, what's there to do around here?" she asked with a smile.
