Vivian nodded hesitantly in response to Naoki's question. In all honesty, she wasn't quite sure. Well, he had been saved from his suicidal outburst, but how long would his composure last? How long would any of their composure last? Upon close inspection, she could see that the girl was forcing her smile, and was clearly upset. Vivian suddenly realized how much of a disadvantage she was at. She was wondering how she would get her thoughts across. So far, only Zenith knew sign language. Back home, Milos was the only one she could really communicate with. Not even her parents understood most of the time. She sighed and looked about the large courtyard, peering over the heads of others. She really wanted to ask if they would allow Naoki to go so far as the shore, for whatever reason. But, this was one of those times she'd just have to deal. Muteness was a pain in the rear sometimes. Most times, actually. She wouldn't be spoken to sometimes by her parents because of her inability to speak and their inability to understand what she was communicating. But, she didn't like being talked to the majority of the time anyway. This time, though, she wished she could speak like everyone else. Instead, she shrugged and gestured forward, showing Naoki that she could keep going, and Vivian decided not to disturb her solitude, which she obviously wanted. Instead, she headed back to Pearlie and Zenith, who appeared to be getting along better.
