Zenith was slightly shocked that the woman's signing was not superior to his; however, he was reminded that not many had the oppurtunity to study the subject...or any else like it. Anything different, unique. The fact she knew anything, he supposed, was a miracle all in itself, and she did do a good job of making her subject clear. The only reason he had known it--and much other valued information close to heart to Deviants--was the fact that his job, as an undercover Deviant in a corrupt Government, was to locate and destroy such sacred treasures of history. Locating and destroying, on record, was not a skillset of his. In reality, his Grandparents' home hid away thousands of records and items of history before the Haven, back when everything was in Union.

Very well. I'll give her some time. He signed this back, before simultaneously asking in both voice and hands, "Would you prefer that I signed to you or spoke?"

As to Pearlie's response, he said "I see." Although he wasn't really sure if he did, he continued. "And thank you. But you don't need to apologize."

Recovering his fallen coconut, he looked to both the women, motioning the three others on the ground. "Hungry?" If so, he would open them as he did his own, smashing them between foot and tree. If not, he would ask again halfway through his own fruit.

But halfway was as far as he got...while the meager meat of the fruit was hardly filling, he couldn't eat any more. He had lost his appetite. Which never happened...he was worried about Naoki. She was the first to come in contact with him, and she knew she hid away her feelings behind a curtain of happiness...in fact, her despair could be much deeper than his own. He sighed, dropping his half-eaten coconut. "I'm going to check on Naoki." With that, he momentarily left the group in the direction that Vivian pointed out.

Upon reaching the orange-haired woman, he saw as Naoki looked down into her own reflection of the water. He had approached silently, and knew not what to say. So he simply let his mouth choose for him.

"I had thought you were an angel."
