Lupe noticed she was giggling like a dummy and composed herself. She looked around to see if any of her greaser friends might be around as they would certainly not be pleased to see her with a preppy like Oscar.
"So, are ya just goin to stand there like a beam pole or ask this lady out for some cawffee or somethin"? She gave him a flirtatious look.
