"That blessed are the days that, I have looked into your eyes, and felt the warmth and love reflect, the essence of our lives. Yesterday we dreamed of what might be; today we validate our love; and tomorrow we will cherish the life we have shared as one."

She traced his smiled with her fingers enjoying the feel of his skin underneath her finger tips, she giggled at the goofy smile on his face. His joy nearly seeping into her own being. His smile was one that could light up her entire world, make her laugh and smile herself. She wanted to do everything she could to make him smile so she could feel this way all the time. His smile was like a gift to the world.

Melissa looked at the clock seeing it was almost 1 in the afternoon, rarely could she get her husband to sleep in this late. He was always very responsible with everything and felt that sleeping in was a waste of a perfectly good day. It was nice to abandon their responsibilities for a little while.

One forth of July evening she had to literally drag her new husband out of his office to enjoy the night lights. It was probably one of her favorite fourth of July's she had managed to get her class of children and their family's to all meet at a park for the fireworks.

She looked at her husband as she came out of the memory, "So when we get home am I gonna get to keep you to myself for a little while or is work calling yo-" Melissa was interrupted by the sound of her husbands phone ringing, she looked at him laughing at the conflict on his face. "Go ahead and answer the phone Ches." She said calling him by his old name, Melissa kissing him all too briefly on the lips. "I'm gonna go take a shower...feel free to join after you done."

Getting out of bed she looked at him over her shoulder winking playfully before making her way into the bathroom.
