Ford's hand on her shoulder felt comforting. Kim smiled at his touch. He mentioned the puppy and she looked his direction. "Let's do this thing." She hoped out after he parked. Entering the building, she skipped happily.
"Hello. Welcome to the NYC Pound. How can I help you?"
"We were wanting to buy a puppy, preferably cheap, kinda low on cash."
"All on our dogs are $100 unless you wish to purchase accessories in the connecting pet shop."
"Great."
"Follow me." The woman led them down a hall, and Kim reached down and grabbed Ford's hand. "Here are all the dogs under two years. There is a clipboard with information outside each pen. Just ring when you find one you like." Kim dropped Ford's hand and ran around to all the puppy pens. Pugs, poodles, chihuahuas, but none that really screamed 'Pick me!'. then she saw the cutest pup ever.
"OH MY GOD! SHE'S PERFECT!" It was a small, brown and black dog. "It says her name is Jessie, and she's a year old. She was found a couple months ago in a dumpster. Awwww. We gotta get her! She's all sad looking."
