Akari sat up from her bed and blinked out her eyes until she got tired and sat up. She never slept. Ghosts didn't need the rejuvenation of sleep for they were no longer human. She looked down at her hands and at her feet letting the transparency of her existence sink into her once again. One could say she was over her death, she would front that she was. But one does not simply remove the memory. She realized she was late in greeting the humans. Akari looked at herself in the mirror and straightened her hair and studied her outfit. She wore black shorts and a blue floral blouse that showed her black bra underneath. Hoop earrings dangled from her lobs and hints of makeup graced her cheeks and eyelids. This was what she wore the night she was killed and if you looked closely, you could see the five bullet holes through her body under the see through shirt. She pressed her hands at her stomach and sighed. Not wanting to miss out on anymore of the greetings she hustled downstairs and was meet with an odd sight.
The first thing she noticed was a pretty lady sitting as if she were invisible at the edge of the couch. The next thing was a kitten which she didn't particularly take a liking to, but could tolerate nonetheless. The third was a man with a slightly bloody finger with said cat. Last was the gracious Ms. Moon and several humans "invading" her home. She was a bit upset that she didn't get to witness their initial reactions or if anyone freaked out. She would have to ask the other ghosts later. Walking down, she smiled at Ms. Moon. "Sorry," she bowed slightly, "I'm a little late," then she looked at the more or less organized group of humans in the living room. "Hello everyone," she bowed slightly again. "I'm Akari. Ghost as you see. I'm twenty and a former tattoo artist," she rattled off her basic credentials. It felt awkward walking into them even though she had been living with the other ghosts for a while. Shuffling, she moved herself closer to Akahito. "What did I miss?" Her head bobbed slightly searching for Luhan. Finding him, she send him a smile and looked at a tall human male with striking features before returning her attention to her ghost friend. She noticed his paler expression. "Are you okay?"
She had warmed up to all the ghosts in the house and trusted most of them. She felt close to Akahito since they shared the same background.
