After taking off her jacket and her shoes, Seraphina lay down next to Izzy and pulled her blanket up around her. Her eyes shut tight and she snuggled under the duvet. Although she was completely worn out, the young girl could not get to sleep. As the town began to drift off to sleep, Seri could only toss and turn on the mattress. Around midnight, she had had enough. It wasn't the same in this universe, and the half-dyad knew she would never get to sleep that night. Sitting up in bed, she wiped her face with her hands before gently pulling back the blanket and standing up silently. Looking across at her friend, Seri saw that the 13-year-old was sleeping soundly.
Sighing miserably to herself, the green-haired girl put on her jacket and shoes, picked up her rucksack, and tiptoed out of the door before closing it quietly behind her, being careful not to wake anyone. Once outside, she sat down and took out her ukulele and her notebook from her bag. Then she began to play the tune that she had earlier scrawled down, while mumbling the lyrics to herself.
