After about an hour of song writing and playing her ukulele, Seris' eyes began to get droopy. It was not long before she dropped off to sleep, her head lying on her backpack and her ukulele by her side. Fortunately, since it was mid-summer, there was only a mild breeze and the air was fairly warm.
Abruptly the 11-year-old woke up, to the sound of a door opening and her voice being called. Quickly, she got up, grabbed her things and looked over to where the noise was coming from. There, she saw Izzy and instantly she ambled over to her. "Hey, Izzy," she smiled, wiping the sleep out of her eyes, "s'up? Had a nice sleep?" Even though she had had a very short rest, soon Seri felt wide awake and was eager for the day to begin.
