Ava, annoyed by the sound of her alarm, yanked the cord out of the wall and rolled over. Suddenly she was pounced on, but when she turned over to catch her attacker he was gone. His little body wriggled underneath her blanket playfully and she laughed. "Donnie get out of there" Ava ran her hands under the blanket and pulled out her great dane puppy. He excitedly licked her face, jumped off the bed, and ran into the kitchen signifying his need for food. Ava laughed again and got up. "Alright alright. Just let me shower first, then i'll feed you"

Ava hopped into the shower and quickly washed her hair. After stepping out she fixed her signature braid, put on some eyeliner, threw on a dress, and grabbed her fedora for good measure. "Alright Donatello let's eat." when she walked out, Donnie was curled up in her reading chair fast asleep. "Oh come on. You come in to wake me up to feed you and then you go back to sleep." She shook her head and poured food into his bowl, then grabbed an apple and put it in her purse. "Be good Donnie. No accidents today" she said, rubbing the top of his head playfully.

Her apartment was only a couple blocks from school so she felt no need to take the bus or buy a car. She got into her classroom and took a seat next to Jimmy. Ava knew who he was. Almost everyone in the school knew who he was, but only because they knew where to score drugs. The idea intrigued Ava, but instead of wanting to know about his drug escapades, she wanted to know more about HIM as a person. 'there has to be more to him than drugs' she thought. But she pushed the thought away as Mr. Stevenson started speaking.
