Wow! thought Marie, he actually saved me, no one has ever done that before! Marie at the back of the van knew this could not change a thing and as they stopped at his apartment and got out of the van she quickly cocked her gun and pointed it at Duncan's head. With her arm almost instantly being twisted back, she knew she had to give Duncan a plausible explanation to his question "So who are you and why are you following me?"
Marie, usually quick as the Grinch, couldn't think of a single lie. In a moment of panic Marie kicked her stiletto back, right into the mans groin."I am SO sorry!" she said almost able to feel his pain as he lay on stumbled back against the wall. Marie finding herself pressed against the mans torso against the wall, made sure her gun was locked tight to his head before she started to pull the trigger. But before she could she felt his heart beating below her own and felt something monumental for the first time in her life. "I, I, I " she muttered before grabbing her head in confusion dropping the gun to the floor, looking deep into the eyes of the handsome man before her, and finally darting though the nearest ally way, over a gate and into the nearest unlocked home she could find.
Sneaking around the family silently curled up on the couch, she noticed the young woman on the couch twirling the man to her lefts hair and leaning her head on his shoulder.
Marie found the bathroom silently closed the door and just cried, it was the most powerful and explainable feeling she had ever encountered. But it wouldn't deter her from her goal, next time she found Duncan she would be ready.
Marie then lifted the bathroom window and snuck out, it was time to start her search for shelter.
