A gasp tore from Rainie's chest, as her mossy brown eyes shot open. Confusion clouded her brain almost at once, her thoughts whirling madly around her head. Where was she? How did she end up like this? And so on...It took her a few moments to actually calm down, taking deep breath as she refused to move from her position, which was flat on her back, staring at what she could only assume was a ceiling. But a ceiling to what exactly? When she was eventually thinking straight, she retraced the events that had resulted in her being where she was. Back in New York, she'd boarded a red bus to LA, yes that was right. She'd been travelling, away from her past. And then what? There had been fog, it had been dark and then...

Sitting bolt upright, she gasped again, clutching her hands to her mouth. They had crashed headlong into another bus coming from the opposite direction. She'd remembered because she'd got up from her seat to ask the driver how long it would be and it was then that she saw the headlights and everything went black. Running her fingers across her pale skin, she searched for a bump, her assumption being that she'd been knocked unconscious after the collision. But there was absolutely nothing there. Frowning, she turned her head to look at her fellow passengers. Most were slumped in their seats, heads lolling on shoulders or chests. But it was evident they had no injuries and all were breathing. Fear clutched desperately at her chest. What the hell had happened to them last night?

Snatching her suitcase up, she headed outside jumping off the steps of the bus. What she saw stopped her dead in her tracks. Both buses were side by side, untouched and completely undamaged. Taking a deep breath, she turned her back on them, shaking her head. Sweeping her blonde hair over her shoulder, she cast a careful eye around, though she could see no-one moving around. Smoothing down her vest top, she hung around the buses, chewing her bottom lip. Every now and then she would check for signs of life from the buses and when none came, she decided to called out.

"Hello? Anyone else here?"
