Ciel just smiled at Almond. He would stay with her as long as she needed him.
"Cluna's right," He whispered gently, "No one is ever truly broken. I know that things are hard, and sometimes it's hard to explain why, but I promise you, it'll get better. You're never alone. You will always have a place right here; with your friends, and with me."
Embracing her, Ciel held her as the tears poured out, whispering words of comfort. Closing his eyes, he began to channel his own emotions so Almond could know exactly how he felt about her. In that moment, no further words were needed. The world itself seemed to melt away as Ciel allowed Almond, just for a moment, to see through his eyes, and know how he felt about her. For that brief moment, there was no more fear or pain. There was only love. Limitless, beautiful love. It wasn't romantic or erotic in any way. Instead, it was more like how a parent might feel for their child, or how a friend might feel for someone very dear to them. In a way, it was perhaps the most pure love of all. Unconditional, and absolutely, completely limitless. Ciel didn't care if she was called an assassin, or the white devil. Almond was Almond, and that's all she needed to be. She was herself, and Ciel loved her.
When the moment finally passed, Ciel stood up, placing his hands on Almond's shoulders.
"You are never, ever alone." He said. His voice was gentle, but firm. "If you feel dangerous, I can teach you control, and if you ever feel lonely, or like you don't have a place to go, I'll be there."
Smiling softly, Ciel bent back down, embracing her again.
"I love you," He whispered, "Please never forget that."
