“Max what’s going on?” Amber said softly slightly worried having heard him yell, he didn’t bother speaking as Maahes stepped on the white fox harshly causing her to whine in pain. “Max please, I didn’t do anything” she said upset tears rimming her eyes. “Amber, I’ve done everything in my power to take care of you, but your falling from me…and don’t tell me otherwise” his voice was angry and loud as it filled the room. “Ma…Max…I” but she was cut off “Save it!” he yelled causing her to jump a bit. He grabbed her by the throat lifting her from the bed she held his arm as she gasped for air his grip was too strong for her to break, the tears that rimmed her eyes fell. “I own you.” He whispered his tone made her shiver in fear, never had he spoken to her in that way. His breathing was tight in his chest as he released her causing her to fall back to the bed coughing harshly. Leaving her crying on his bed as he made his way back into the office.

He looked up from his desk as he saw her come in “Stand guard make sure no one comes in” he ordered as he looked to her. His eyes were darkened as he closed in on her face “How dare you.” He spoke calmly but anger traced his voice. Maahes and Scar circled each other, the black panther’s low grow would send chills up anyone spine. “I did everything you asked of me!” his voice grew louder “I would die for you” he admitted “but not now…how can you stand here so bodly in front of me and act like you never knew me!” he yelled grabbing her arm forcefully pushing her against the wall though it was not gently or playful like it had been with Laney, though the desire was clearly there it was clouded by hatred at the moment. Her body making a loud thud as it collided with the wall. He held her to the wall, his strength was unreal and some wondered if he was even human. “You will pay for this…I may have loved you once but that was a long time ago Scarny, I will no longer show you the compassion I once held for you” he said looking into her eyes for a moment. “I will kill you and that soul of yours…it will be mine.” The moment the words left his lips he felt a smirk creep across his face and something had suddenly snapped in him.
