Micah was getting ready to tell Rose that yes, he could definitely show her the books sometime soon, when Emerson found his way awkwardly into their conversation. Micah shook his head, trying to keep from laughing at his friend's failed attempt and coolly putting in a good word for him to Rose, with all the rambling on about how great his family's book store was, before yawning and getting up to go.

He stared after him for a moment, trying to figure out just how Emerson thought he was helping the situation. Now here they were again, with Rose staring at Emerson again, only now that he had spoken to her she just seemed utterly stunned, or uncomfortable, and her face had turned quite a deep shade of pink. It was kind of a cute look on her, actually. And again, Micah was left wondering what it was about Emerson that had this effect on Rose. He was lost in thought about this for a moment, when suddenly Rose mentioned that she was tired and abruptly got up to leave.

Micah cleared his throat, a little confused. "Uh... okay, see you later then," he said, not quite sure she could hear him as she left. He scratched his head as he watched her leave, then looked around the Great Hall. It had all but emptied out by this time, and Micah realized that he was now feeling pretty tired himself. It had been a long day, and he was ready to turn in for the night.

He made his way down the long hallways, greeting people here and there as he passed them but not staying long enough to carry on a conversation with any of them. Finally, he reached the Cervus Common Room. He called a quick good night to Savant and Emerson before heading up to his dorm. His huge gray cat, Blue, was laying across Micah's bed, and he mewed softly as he saw him enter the room. "Looks like you made yourself right at home again, Blue," Micah said, scratching the cat behind the ear before shoving him to the side of the bed to make room for himself. "I swear, you take up the whole bed. Move over, will you?" The cat just purred in response as he laid his head on his paws to go to sleep. Micah sighed and got into bed. Maybe tomorrow he would have an actual conversation with Rose, without managing to screw things up again.
