Alice followed Tiaan in silence, respecting the pilot's need for a lack of conversation. Alice was not the sort of person who minded quiet company, nor did she really care when company was loud. So long as it was the company of someone she liked. And Alice would freely admit that she liked Tiaan. The girl was, as she had first guessed, a spitfire. A troubled spitfire. Alice tended to gravitate towards the troubled people in life. What else could have landed her - by volunteer application - on a prison vessel?

That was a decision she would regret for the rest of her - hopefully long - life.

Alice looked up at Tiaan's outburst, and smiled at the sight of the electric blue fighter.
"She's beautiful," Alice agreed calmly, approaching the ship. She looked, but dared not touch. There was a time when Alice would have given anything to fly in one of these ships, but that time had passed. She had found her love in command, overseeing the battle, ensuring as many people as possible survived. Alice would never hesitate to the take to the front lines, she was simply of more use watching from a distance. Her secrets made sure of that.

"Birdy..." Alice murmured in a contemplative tone, staring up at the writing. She glanced around at Tiaan, into the girl's eyes. Reading her. Alice was grasping at straws now, searching for some common ground to continue to strengthen their relationship. That was what Alice did best - forged bonds in the crew. One of the reasons there had been only six cases of insanity, and four deaths, while she was on board that prison ship. Curse its name... the Nottingham. "I take it that's you?"
