Ally was walking down the hall. How could she have put Svean in the slam just for the sake of her own freedom? She would have gotten out eventually without putting her best friend in. Whimpering a little she felt someone tap her shoulder and swung around. Mary stood there. She looked upset as well.
"Yeah?" Ally nearly whispered.
"I just heard about Svean." she said quietly, "I thought you would be broken up because you were close." she opened her arms but Ally turned away.
"I don't deserve comfort." she muttered and Mary frowned.
"Why? Did something happen? did you get in a fight?" she kept pace with Ally as the two started walking.
"It's my fault he's in there." she glared at her feet, "I turned him in, selfishly." Mary gasped.
"You're Matryums dog!" she exclaimed and Ally let out a sob.
"I just wanted to get out of this retched place. I didn't care what happened to anyone else but when I saw what she did to Svean I-" she stopped herself and tried to keep calm.
"You wish you never did it." Mary sighed. "I'm so sorry Ally."
"You don't have to be. I'm going to get him out." she sighed.
"What? How?"
"I'm going to tell Maytrum I made a mistake. I'm going to quit her force too." she sighed. "She shouldn't rule this place." Ally glanced at Mary. "I want to get into the society." Mary glanced this way and that then said what they had planned.
"I don't know exactly who runs it but I think Crow's in charge."
"Crow? Mr. I don't like choosing sides?"
"He recruits everyone and he opens alot of the meetings. Not to mention he has 'insomnia'." Mary explained and Ally's facade fell away.
"Thank you Mary. I'm glad you gave me this information."
"Ally?"
"It was all a trick. Maytrum knew you knew who was the leader. And you just told me." she sneered. "And thanks to you Svean can go free. Without Crow leading the Society it will fall apart." She turned and stormed off but Mary stood there. Crying. It had worked to perfection. The plan was set in motion.
