"Lessa! How are you?" The candy maker said. "I just made a fresh batch of your favorite sour candies." He handed Alessia one of the blue colored candies. As Alessia stuck it in her mouth, she felt the tingling fruity sourness on her tongue. "Its as good as always." Alessia said. Suddenly a demon maid appeared: "Mistress, I have come to check on you to see if your guests are having fun. It has sort of gotten bored in the castle." "Don't worry. If you feel bored, then there is ale in the kitchen. Just be sure to be sober by supper time." Alessia said. She then turned to these others: "Ah yes. I still need to tell you that I normally don't have servants. I summoned these demons to be servants for the weekend." Suddenly a nervous laugh came from the candy maker: "Ahhh. Yehehesss. That's right your a witch. At least you aren't a bad one." Alessia as a person was a blessing for the people of Silvania, but as soon as they heard witch or demon, a chill ran down their spines for an unknown reason.

Long ago as Silvania was ruled by the tyrant step-mother of Alessia, Alessia had stayed as the apprentice of the necromant Vilrich. He wasn't exactly an evil necromant, but wouldn't hesitate to kill if he had to. Vilrich preferred to stay away from town and only go there to the pub. No one knew who Vilrich was until one fateful day as foreign troops invaded. They pillaged the villages and burned people they suspected of witchcraft, but then Vilrich came and showed them what real sorcery was. He summoned demons that killed the occupants and soldiers died in horrible ways, scarring the minds of the people of Silvania to never anger him and eventually his apprentice Alessia. Years later, Vilrich decided that his time had come and passed on some of his power, including the blood pact with the demons to Alessia who would later become the protector and ruler of Silvania.
