Romulus. He read the name above his cage. Salem always thought it was a cute little history lesson, bt he understood most uneducated people wouldnt get it. He shook his head with a smile and pounced on top of the large rock placed in the middle of his cage. He considered this his own personal "Pride Rock." He paced.

People came pouring in. People just itching to see a little glimpse of the strange, of the unreal, of the creativeness god had every now and then. He squatted on top of the rock. He enjoyed giving the people a show.

He didnt harbor hatred towards the viewers nearly as much as some of the other freaks. They were just in here to see somethig new. Salem was farely certain that he could leave any time he wanted. Whether the owner wanted him to or not. He wasnt bitter. There wasnt anything else out there for someone like him. But he was not a slave.

People approaced the cage, looking at Salem with wanting expressions. He smiled and kindly obliged. He sprang from the rock and landed feet from them on all fours. He spang at the cage and grabbed the bars, bareing his teeth and extendng his claws. He gave a powerful bark and backed away slowly. His eyes turning back from the fierce yellow they had been.

He stood up, with his legs spread. He threw his arms out and howled to the sky as loud as possible. He flexed his powerful leg and and muscles for the crowd. They always loved a good howl.
