Kurosu moved swiftly through the trees back to the main gate of the village. "Halt!" One of the guards cried as he approached.
"You idiot..." The other guard said swiftly smacking the offender on the skull, "That there is the Kage! Sorry sir, he just started here and hasn't seen you come through like...well like this before."
Kurosu looked down at himself and smiled, he was covered in the blood of his enemies. "No need to abuse the man, it was a simple mistake." He said as he waked past them and into his Village. Rather than just teleport up to his chambers he walked silently through the streets letting the many villagers see their fearless and legendary leader.
"Ma... Is that the Kage?" A child barely old enough to begin speaking asked as he passed. This caused him joy, but also sadness. If there was someone after him then they would surely come back into his village and try to assassinate him again, and this time they might just strike directly at the city. HE couldn't allow his people to die for him, especially the little ones like this child.
Having walked far enough he used his technique to teleport the rest of the way to his office and from there he summoned the head of his ANBU division. "You asked for me sir?" The man asked as he kneeled.
"Yes I did. I have a very important mission for you, one I can trust to none other than yourself. Today someone tried to assassinate me-"
"You want me to find and kill them?"
"No, I want you to stay here and watch over the village in my stead. I will find them and kill them myself..."
"But I know nothing of running the village!"
"It isn't difficult. Just sign the papers and assign missions appropriately, you'll find it quite boring when compared to ANBU life."
"If this is your comman-"
"It is. I leave now and your duties begin immediately."
"Bu-" Kurosu didn't even hear the rest as he teleported to his private chambers and grabbed the summoning scroll for the seven swords. As soon as it was in his hands he used his technique again and teleported back outside of the city and started running to where he knew he could find information, Konoha.
