Vlad saw the Elves ran, he sent a group of Wallachian Cavalry men after them to cut them off, Kanaye watched and knew it was time for him to fight. He leaped landed on top of the roof of the church and pulled his sword staring at Vlad. Kanaye yelled, "You have to stop this! There are innocent people here who don't deserve to die!" Vlad glared at him, eyes glowing from the darkness, "Innocent? No being is innocent, you would know that wouldn't you Kanaye the Man Slayer?" Kanaye was shocked that the vampire knew his old title, Vlad simply laughed at him. "Come my beloved enemy! Cut out my heart and spread my body at the sea!" Vlad drew his sword and launched forward swinging it down at Kanaye. Kanaye dodged so fast he disappeared, reappearing above Vlad and slashing at his neck. His blade was blunt however, he had no intent to kill him. The attack did nothing, merely stopping once it hit his neck. Kanaye was in shock that it hadn't even harmed him, before he could react Vlad turned around nearly as fast and slashed his sword across Kanaye's chest.

Kanaye leaped back holding his chest, again he launched forward sending a volley of attacks that did nothing. This time Vlad punched him with nearly all his strength sending the Samurai against the cross breaking it. Again and again this happened in till Kanaye was left on his knees breathing hard and coughing up blood. Vlad stood there silent then finally spoke, "When I am done with you I will consume those Elves, especially that one you secretly feel for." He laughed and was cut off by Kanaye screaming no, Kanaye's eyes were different, they changed topaz and had a fierce look of murder in them. His blade slowly grew deadly sharp as he launched forward slicing off Vlad's arm, again he turned around moving at a faster speed cutting through Vlad's side. Vlad had a look of shock then laughed at he regenerated. "Yes! Yes! Excellent, attack me with all your hate!"
