Daniel listened intently as Carson explained the act. It sounded good to him, something the crowds would enjoy. A crocodile man taming a crocodile, who wouldn't get a kick out of it? He assumed that what she described was settled but she surprised him once more by asking what he thought. He stood silently puzzled for a minute, uncrossing his arms to rub one uncomfortably. Giving a big shrug, he finally spoke. "It sounds good to me. Never made up my own acts. Not good at stuff like that so uh, thanks." His dark eyes darted away from her as if he were nervous in her presence now. It wasn't as if his previous circus family had treated him ill but never had he been accepted so quickly, or by someone as pretty as Carson was. Thankfully the tall man from earlier returned and Carson began speaking to him instead.

Daniel's eyes went directly to the man as he added in his two bits about the reptile act and even describing his own act. Apparently he was an archer by the sounds of it and when the man introduced himself as Archer, Daniel couldn't help the small snort that escaped him, his version of laughing. An archer named Archer. "Names Daniel." He grunted his thanks when Archer welcomed him to the family and it was obvious the man was extremely nervous. He stuttered and fidgeted and Dan couldn't help but wonder if it was his appearance that made the man do so or if he was just this way with all newcomers. Either way the guy was at least trying to be welcoming. He seemed nice enough. Archer then began speaking to Carson and Dan busied himself with kneeling down to the reptile tank and watching them as they basked. He preferred it this way, listening to others talk while he stayed silent. Soon enough to both of them quickly exited, Dan kept his eyes on the reptiles as they left, giving a grunt to Archer in a farewell as he excused himself.

So, a reptile act. He'd never done something like this before, this woman was actually trusting him with her animals and believing he could pull this off. Never had he had so much trust put into him with an act. The usual way of it was stand here, stand there, growl, roar, repeat. It was about as much as anyone thought he could handle because, face the facts, he wasn't the smartest guy out there and doing anything like the acrobats, the archers, trick riders, or any other performers was way beyond him. He worried he would forget the commands and mess up the performance, mess up Carson's act and that was the last thing he wanted to do. The woman was nice, both her and Archer were and he didn't want to let everyone down his first night here.

He sat on the ground, just watching the crocodile slowly move this way and that to gather as much heat as she could for what seemed like forever. It seemed Carson and the man weren't returning so that left him to his own devices for awhile. Standing up and wishing Olivia a good day, he left the tent and began wandering around outside. He kept to himself mostly but at the same time tried to be as friendly as possible to others. As he walked he thought about Archer and Carson, the only two people he currently knew out of his expansive circus family. Carson was nice, sweet, loved the animals, smart and pretty. Archer was shy, fidgety, nice, awkward, tall and as much as Daniel hated to think it, the guy was good looking. That's probably why him and Carson went off on their own. Ah, it never did him any good to think of girl's as good looking because look at him, he wouldn't even want to date him. As he became lost in his thoughts he ended up in the main tent where he stopped in surprise, looking around at the huge expanse of it before motion above caught his attention. Oh, a trapeze artist, they were always fun to watch. Leaning on a support beam, Dan crossed his arms and kept his eyes up in the air to watch this small, twig of a girl fly through the air.
