The raven-haired girl shook her head and cringed once more. Every movement seemed to shift the staples holding her skin together and only after she took a few shallow breaths did she seem to be able to answer. "Don't know..." She started, her eyes still flicking wildly from side to side as if she were expecting an ambush. "Left campus, called a taxi... Last thing I remember..." Her eyes shut then as if she were trying to recall details but she shook her head again before reopening her eyes once more. "Can't remember. There was a... It was white and sterile. They wore masks. They gave me medicine and said I had been hurt. Asked about my magic."
