Jennaās took a deep breath as she rested on her way back, the trees thinning out and the path getting more worn and clear as she neared the school. She held her head up and had some ideas rumbling around in her mind about research projects and a new book she might write. She stood a little bit in front of her dorm as she reached into the pocket of her workout clothes and fished out a pen. She didnāt even mean to carry them but for whatever reason she always seemed to have one or a hundred on her at all times. Sadly she didnāt really carry around any paper so she held her hand up and started to write on the back of it, putting down those ideas before they were lost to her.
Her pen was moving, leaving a trail of small and neat writing when her phone buzzed, the vibration caused her hand to slip in surprise and leave a long line down the center of her hand. She gave a sigh and fished out her phone to look at the message. She couldnāt help but frown, someone had texted her to tell her that the student council was being called in. She couldnāt help but think of it as being odd but she had only recently been appointed as one of the presidents when the last one went missing. With a sigh she broke into a jog and headed towards the main building. She didnāt know what it was and she might not be dressed in the best of clothes but she didnāt look that bad in her work out clothes.
She came in the main doors of the school with a crash, bursting through the doors in a jog and then immediately falling into a walk as she swiftly made her way inside and towards the meeting room. As she went through the reception area she couldnāt help but hear a familiar voice and pivoted her course a little to bring her up and behind Charlie. A slight smile was on Jennaās face as she saw Charlie, her heart skipping a beat from either the surprise of running into her or the running she was just doing. As she walked by her Jenna reached out and wrapped her arms around Charlie lightly, a quick ambush hug. She said with a small smile. āHi, byeā and pulled away. She gave a small laugh as she made her way towards the meeting room, turning back and waving before she disappeared from sight.
Outside of the room she took a deep breath and reached out to touch the door handle. She tried to calm herself from her run and stand up a little straighter, she hadnāt been to a whole lot of these things and she was a fairly new appointee. She couldnāt help but wonder about this strange new environment that she was walking into, as with everything though she knew she would take it in stride. She had after all been dropped into dozens of different cultures with her dad and thrived. She might even get a new book idea out of it. With that thought she reached down and tried to hide her written on hand as she opened and stepped through the door.
