Jaida seemed to hesitate, but then she turned to Rin, shouting at her to cover her while she began to construct the portal that would take the wraith's away from this place. Ellie lent what help she could, shouting instructions when Jaida's memory failed her, and in her distraction, she failed to uphold her own shield, and a wraith burst through the fold that her barrier had created, latching to her chest as they both went crashing to the ground. Another wraith went after Max, attempting to tackle him from behind.
