Carter shot back the flirty smile as Rae leaned against him. "Same old, same old. So, where have you-" Carter was cut off as Erin began to ramble, but stopped in order to go get the rosemary Tai had asked for. Mark let out a sigh and Carter too let out a sigh of relief.

Next to Carter, Robin piped up loud enough for both Erin and Mark to hear. "And those debates are boring as hell, by the way." She stopped and then muttered under her breath, "Half the time I don't even know what you're talking about."

"Next time you try and sweat talk a girl I would suggest not doing it in front of your biggest critic when she is within arms reach of a blunt object," Mark said.

Robin's head whipped around to Mark and she gave him a smile of approval before nodding in agreement. "Mark's absolutely right, Cart. You should listen to him. Or, you know, just never try to sweet talk a girl." She paused to place a finger on Carter's forehead and push him back slightly. "'Cause it never works."

Carter grumbled and wrinkled his nose at Robin. "Haven't you tortured me enough for the day, Robby."

Robin smiled mischievously. "Oh yes," she paused to let him think that she was serious and then continued, "But the night is still young."

Carter sighed in defeat for the umpteenth time that day and leaned further back against the counter. "I could have had a twin brother," he meant to grumble softly, but it turned out to be louder than he expected. He took a swig of water and leaned against Rae as well, as if asking her to support him in this argument.
