Marian turned around quickly and looked over to who had spoken and then broke into a delighted smile as soon as she saw it was Mulan. "Good morning." She said with a small wave, turning and stepping out of the water, walking towards her friend. "I'm up this time every morning." She said with a gentle shrug as she bent down and picked up her shoes. She grinned at Mulan. Mulan was one of these people that Marian just wanted to spend as much time as she could with. Mulan was so brave, and so independent. And yet, at the same time, she was so pretty. She shone in Marian's eyes, and she kinda wished she could have the same confidence Mulan had. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ears and then looked up to Mulan. "I guess it's just a lot quieter around here at this time. All the loud people were up last night... Being loud." She smiled a little at her phrasing and then tilted her head slightly. "You're up pretty early too though..." She commented, shrugging slightly. "What have you been doing?" she asked curiously, tilting her head slightly.

It was strange... Marian was possibly one of the shyest people on this island. And yet, there were some people, like Mulan, where making conversation just seemed really easy and not at all difficult. She liked that. It was just like some people were easier to talk to than others...
