Darc continued walking, his blush suppressed finally. He stayed quiet as Shirin spoke into his mind, obviously musing something in his head, though he wasn't feeling any actual emotion as he did so. That, or he just suppressed it greatly enough that it didn't broadcast to a certain angel. In any case, he looked over to her as they began stepping into the sand and grabbed her hand, delicately. A sturdy expression was displayed on his face and his words seemed, different than normal in the way they spoke, like a father speaking to a daughter, though it was much closer than that.

"Anyone who considers any part of you flawed is a fool. You don't need to be strong, and I don't believe that your tail and means of communication are anything but unique," he looked down at her pale hand which was in heavy contrast to his own tan one, his eyes locking onto her smaller digits. They seemed so small and fragile compared to his bigger, rougher looking ones on his human hand. They seem beautiful, as did she. Something about her... it made his other, hidden side try to emerge from the prison it had shut itself in. "As long as we're in this mess together, I guess I can watch over you. If you can't fight, I'll do it for you, understand?....and you're pretty beautiful... for an angel," he offered a smile-something he hadn't actually done with the warmness that-just a bit ago-seemed to be something he was incapable of.
