"Oh, its just you Wendy." She frowned slightly at that comment, not knowing exactly what he meant. Was he expecting someone else... someone better? Should she just leave? Against all her doubts, she decided to stay. She scooted through the sand so she was sitting next to him, though not too close, and was staring out at the waves. Her mood improved greatly as he apologized for pretty much doing nothing. It was a nice gesture, though, and made some of her doubts fade away. As he grabbed her book, though, her cheeks reddened once more, and she gave him a smile and a shrug. As long as he didn't open it and start reading, she'd be okay. He would probably think it was stupid, as most guys seemed to. "What can I say... I like to read," she said with a small grin.

A small silence surrounded them, and she took the time to just listen to the waves crash against the beach, staring up at the clear blue sky. It was nice and peaceful, and she took advantage of the quiet to let her mind wander. Ever since she woke up on the island, she'd felt a connection with the sky, though she had no idea why. But she especially liked the stars, and sometimes she even stayed up half the night just staring at them. She liked to climb up to the roof, because she felt that much closer to the sky and stars. She closed her eyes, and let the slight breeze blow through her hair. She knew it was silly, but sometimes she just wanted to jump off the roof and fly. But that would probably end with her falling and getting seriously injured, so she never did.

Brought back to the present, she opened her eyes and turned back to Rob. She gave him a small smile and asked "So, Rob, what were you doing out here before? And what are your plans for this beautiful day?" Immediately, she regretted asking the second question. Was he going to think she wanted to do something with him? Was he going to mind, or would he just shoot her down? She averted her eyes from his gaze, and stared down at the sand, waiting to hear what he said.

Herschel had just been about to respond to Peter, when the blonde bombshell appeared. He immediately felt himself break into a smile at her presence. Her spirit really was infectious, and the smile continued as he saw Peter run forward and spin her around gleefully. He just stayed in his place, feeling a little awkward, but didn't choose to leave. He knew the two of them had a special bond, maybe they were even more than friends. Although Tilli seemed to make her way around, so he seriously doubted it. He stood in his spot, shuffling his feet back and forth and waiting to really even feel noticed.

Finally, Peter began talking animatedly, and finally brought Herschel into the conversation. "Hey Tilli," he said with a big smile, giving her a little wink. Then he turned his attention to Peter. "Yeah, of course we can all do something together." It was then that he looked down and saw he was still in his workout clothes, covered in sweat, and probably smelled pretty bad. "Actually, guys, can you give me 5 minutes to hop in the shower? I really should smell better than this if we're going out." He grinned, and then turned around and sprinted into his house. That would give them some time to talk and be alone, and hopefully when he got back they'd have it out of their system, and then he could be included in the conversation as well. He took an especially quick shower, not that he normally took very long anyway. After emerging from the steaming bathroom, only a towel tied around his waist. In his room, he stood in front of his closet trying to decide what to wear. Truthfully, he wanted to impress Tilli.

Finally, he decided on a tight pair of dark blue jeans and a plain black v-neck t-shirt that showed off his sculpted chest. He put on some good smelling cologne, then headed back out the door, figuring he was pretty close to his 5 minute estimate. "Sorry about that, guys, hopefully I didn't take too long." His eyes found Tilli's once more. "So what are we going to do?"
