Gwendolyn gave him a small smile and asked "So, Rob, what were you doing out here before? And what are your plans for this beautiful day?" Robs heart almost stopped. Was she really asking... Could she... No way... Mentally shaking his head, Rob corrected this thoughts. He just looked up to the sky, thinking momentarily for the right words.
Finally looking back down, Rob smiled back at her, "Well I was just relaxing in the sand, kinda doing nothing, being bored. In truth, I'm glad your here, you possibly saved me from dying of boredom." He joked, laughing, he grabbed her by the shoulder, "What can I say, I suppose your my hero!" Smiling, he looked off into the horizon. "What was I going to do today?... Well I hadn't thought of that. I suppose I could go to the mall..." he turned back to Gwendolyn as he realized he was spacing out and talking to himself. He smiled shyly, "Sorry. I'm rambling. " he sighed, rubbing his chin, "Well I suppose, the best way to spend a beautiful day is to spend it with a beautiful girl." He stood, dusting the sand off himself. He extended his hand to her, "I guess you have no choice then, you'll have to spend the day with me." Rob laughed slightly, "I wonder, was that too corny, Gwen?" He smiled, hoping she didn't mind him calling her Gwen, it was less of a mouthful than Gwendolyn, but he felt it suited her more than Wendy did.
