Palmira glanced to one side, becoming aware of the presence of Garll stood next to her, addressing her, though she couldn't hear him too well over the sound of her own breathing.
She felt tempted to react with hostility. That was how he'd been towards her after all....no..she shouldn't do that. She wasn't like that. She wasn't going to prove them right. She was going to be civil, at least.
"I..I'm fine..." she replied, through locked jaw, trying her best to straighten up. She could feel blood starting to well up at the back of her throat. No, she wasn't going to say anything. She wasn't going to be accused of complaining any further. The demoness forced herself to stand straight, and kept going.
Fortunately, it appeared they were nearly there. As the cabin came into view, Palmira tried to quicken her pace, shoving the door open with her free arm and dropping into a disordered sitting position on the floor. She hadn't made any attempt to put on a light, or even scope out the place. She had no inclination to. At that point she just wanted to sit down.
