The cake was good and the coffee as well. He hadn't stopped by a cafe in a while and this was a nice change considering the night before. From walking all the way down into town, his leg had started hurting. Jennifer's sewing job probably wasn't the best thing for the wound, but it was better than nothing and kept it from opening up again. Ever since he was young his body did a pretty well job at keeping away infections and he would rarely ever get sick. Whenever he did end up getting sick, however, it was never anything too serious and Connor would always stick around tending to him until his cough or stuffy nose went away.

Regen bit down on the fork and slid the metal out of his mouth, the small piece of cake staying behind on his tongue. Out the window, he spotted Evan, his clothes stained with dried blood and the usual blank expression on his face. To be honest, Regen was a little concerned about how the boy had suddenly lost control of himself and flew off after the battle was over. It had been a while since he'd witnessed one of those episodes. Seeing as how Evan continued standing outside, Regen decided to wave to him, letting him know that he should come in. The guy probably didn't have any money, and if he did it would probably be pretty ruined from the looks of it.
