Marcela opened her eyes slowly, angry at the government officials who had apparently gassed her as well. She'd already agreed to fight with rest of the special 3000 game players so why had they gassed her? She wouldn't run away from another chance to win, to prove herself as worthy of living to the sick and twisted adults. She sighed a bit and looked at the children scrambling around like little ants. The poor things were lost and confused, and most of them (meaning none of them) were going to survive this. It was just a fact of life.

She subconsciously touched her new collar, as the one she'd had previously had been removed from her neck after she'd won her game. This one seemed to be exactly the same, except for a color change due to her being in a different country. "Don't," she warned a few of the kids struggling to their collars off. She wasn't sure how to explain to them that their heads might explode (well, not yet at least) considering her English was basic. Marcela looked expectantly at the doors towards the front of the room, waiting for the game to begin.
