Sobek finished with the paperwork, and dropped it on Victus' desk on his way out of the building. He hated paperwork with a passion that one hates a dreaded enemy. With a concealed snarl, stalked to the training yard. Unslinging his bow, he feathered the 30 yard target four times in three seconds. He heard a gasp behind him, but ignored it. He then spun toward the wooden combat dummy, dropping his bow and pulling his knives free in the same breath. He spun and slashed, hacking at the wooden man in the areas where an opponent's vitals would be. After several minutes of this, he 'finished' it by stabbing upwards at the base of the dummy's jaw. Breathing slowly, yet in larger than normals spans, he gathered up his weapons and went to the nearest bench.

Dropping down on the bench with a sigh, Sobek pulled an aged whetstone from one of his pockets and began to draw it upon one of his daggers, finding solace in the sound.

As he did so, he thought back to the choices that brought him to this point.

"Perhapss...perhapss I sshould have not come. Thiss Imperial sshowss much dissdain to my kind and wayss of worsship." the Argonian sighed to himself.

My child...why do you doubt? Do I not guide your hand? Are you not my servant? Do not fear, dear Sobek. I will not abandon you in this venture.

Sobek snapped to attention as Nocturnal spoke to him. He had not heard from her in some months. It felt good to hear his deity's voice. It soothed him.

"Yess, misstresss. I hear and obey."
