Ethan chuckled as Anna went running past him. His own board was yellow with some tribal markings on it, a piece he had painted himself so that it looked like the surfboard of an islander somewhere. He got into the water about knee deep and laid on his board before starting to swim out to the waves. Once he got some good lift, he got up on the board and bent his knees to help with balance. Keeping his arms bent at his sides to keep his upper body upright, he sliced through the water with natural skill. He moved the board further up on the wave, keeping himself upright through pure balance and coordination.
