Raiyn Illander

How the hell did this happen? He thought to himself once again, his vision swimming slightly as he pulled at the sword in his shoulder. It didn't want to budge, that or he was lacking the strength to do anything about it. His fingers were being cut by the razor sharp edge and that alone was making it difficult to grasp the weapon properly. As he predicted his ridiculous attack with the dagger did nothing to stop Talazar. He saw the man tower over him as he spoke to someone who had come back. From the sounds of it, Raiyn was sure that the elven Shade had returned. His heart lifted slightly at the Shades' words. Her quick return could only mean one thing. The Princess was still alive, and hopefully so were the others. It was not, however, going to be the same for him. He swallowed hard as Talazar's magic erupted through the earth, encasing him in vines once more.

Lifted off the ground, higher than before, he was turned to face the Shade who looked at him with an evil glint in his eyes. Suspended in the air, his body wrapped tightly, he couldn't move or do anything to stop the man as he reached up and took hold of the swords handle. His breath sucked in the cool night air heavily as he glared at the Shade.

"On three, you can bleed out. One -"

There was a short pause between his sentence and the start of the count. However, at 'one' the weapon was yanked free from his shoulder, spilling hot blood all across his front and back. Every muscle tensed, tightening from the agony. His cry echoed in the area, filling the dead night's silence. He sucked in a shaking breath as his head fell forward, blonde hair covering his eyes that were shut tightly. After a moment his body relaxed in the entrapment. He didn't have the strength to even try to struggle free, the vines were tight enough as is.

Princess... his pain filled mind felt groggy, he couldn't really put together a coherent thought after having the sword ripped out of him. So he hung there, his chin against his chest as he struggled to stay awake, and keep the air pulling into his lungs.

Nira Ku

"That was too quick, I take it she's still alive? What happened to your shoulder?"

Her lips pulled back to bare her teeth and she huffed between clenched teeth, "She's alive, though she'll have a nice bruise at the back of her head. Your dear Aelianus decided to knock her out before I could have any fun with any of them. As for my shoulder, the boy got in a lucky shot. I'm sure they're enjoying the rest of my power though, immensely," her words slid from her tongue, clearly she enjoyed the idea of putting them through hell and back. She could even imagine the pain filled screams that would have filled the air had she stayed long enough to actually listen to them.

Her eyes brightened though as she watched Talazar lift the swords man off the ground and take hold of the sword that had gone half through his shoulder. The boy's scream of pain was more than enough for her to listen to in placement of the others that she'd attacked. He had a strong voice, she liked it very much. She came down the hill to meet Talazar as he flicked the blade to remove some of the blood. Her lips spread in a wicked smile as she gently tapped them with a slender finger.

"It seems shoulders tend to be the target lately," to this, Nira grinned as she looked up at the boys profusely bleeding wound. A side glance to Talazar told her he was eyeing both of her shoulders, particularly the one he'd patched up and the one with the new wound.

"So, would you like some help next time, sweetie?"

Instantly her lips pulled into a frown as he uttered the word 'sweetie', but she couldn't ignore the look he gave her either. His words were dripping in sarcasm to say the least, the condescending tone rubbing her the wrong way and making her bristle in anger. However, the anger was tempered as she noted the slight look of sincerity in his eyes.

"I'll allow you to help," she said, her smile slowly returning as she looked up to the boy, "If you do one thing for me. Make him bleed some more, but don't kill him. I think a slow death is suitable for this insolent whelp who continues to get in our way," by the end of the sentence her voice had turned to a growl. Pale eyes were narrowed as she glared up at him. A wicked laugh escaped her as she imagined the look on the princess' face when she found the young man after he'd long since passed. Or maybe they would make it in time to hear his last words, how devastating would it be to the Jewel Princess? One stepping stone at a time, Nira was going to destroy the woman, starting from the inside out.
