Mason shook his head, but couldn't help grinning as Victoria hissed at him. He laughed a little, something that was rather out of character for him, but continued as if it was perfectly normal. "Be a good girl now Victoria, you really don't have much room to complain..." Even he had to admit that her sweet smile scared him a little bit, but he wasn't about to let it show, "Sure, Mr. Vice President," he slightly tensed up at her words. Please don't let another friend resort to being fake and sucking up, he silently begged as he walked on. "Where are we going then? You have a date with the chess club or something?" A soft sigh of relief escaped Mason's lips as Victoria returned to her normal sarcastic self. "A Yes, continue mocking the second most powerful vampire in the New World." A small smirk on the corner of his lips, "Why don't you tell me of you're exciting little adventure last night. You know, when you lost my mackie card?" he mocked looking over to Victoria, an impossibly innocent smile on his face. Despite his words he continued, his expression turning serious. "I'm not sure as to why, but apparently there is a meeting soon. It's possible that is has to do with the recent killings of certain business partners. I cant be sure." Mason stopped in front of a door, turning to Victoria, an almost concerned expression on his face, "You shouldn't go out until we have figured out what is going on. That is an order, in case you were wondering." He opened the door for her, following her inside. Oddly enough the room was empty, the large conference table in the center. "We must be early." he reasoned out loud, taking a seat near the head of the table. He placed his elbow on his knee so he could rest his chin on his fist, looking intently at Victoria, "So... What exactly were you out doing when you lost my mackie card?"

Ethan kept his gaze almost harsh, wanting to be sure that he didn't appear to be a pushover. βOh, Iβm sorry, I just love your work.β She said softly βYeah, I am pretty far.β She smiled βI can leaveβ¦I know my presence isn't exactly good for business. I tend to scare off customers.β He sighed, softening his gaze and feeling almost guilty for automatically assuming she planned something bad just because she was a vampire. "No, that's fine. I appreciate anyone who appreciates my work." he smiled, leaning against the counter, he looked over slightly, noticing the presence of two other people in the shop. He recognized one of them, someone who had come into his shop before. "So you live in the upper district, I assume. Why come all the way down here. Err, I mean, don't you have... people for that?" Ethan asked, feeling a little awkward speaking to someone of such a higher level than him. He coughed into his hand, "Um, I painted most of the stuff in here... and um, if you're interested you can buy some?" his statement turned out more of a question, and he felt a little stupid considering this was a shop after all. "I'm sorry, I haven't actually held a conversation in a while..." he smiled nervously.
